Hello 63rd,

 

   I know it has been awhile and I am sorry.  But I am currently in Iraq as a firefighter, I will be here until next september when my year contract is up.  When I get back home to NC I am wanting to get back involved with doing CW stuff. I have done multiple WWII impressions but nothing as amounted to my love and devotion to the War Between The States.  I am going continue to do my WWII British and I would like to come back with the 63rd if y'all will have me.  I will have enough yankee greenbacks to purchase a rifle and my missing equipment.  Agian....I apologize for loosing touch, but with my previous job as a Lt. with EMS, the drama at the firehouse and me preparing to come here....it was hard to do anything.  I hope you all will accept my apology I hope to talk to you all soon.

My boyfriend's ggg grandfather Henry H. Forrest was supposed to be in this regiment, 5th Regiment North Carolina Cavalry aka 63rd North Carolina State Troops.  Does anyone know anything about him here?  I've just started doing his family history research.  It looks like this regiment had most of their battles in Virginia which is where we are, is that true?  You can reach me directly at wheely5@hotmail.com.  If we get a chance we may check out one of your reenactments somewhere.  Thanks, Nora
